Where are my Tools and Tabs in 2007

Yo.....

 

Just upgraded to Office 2007 kicking and screaming.....

 

Opened my workbook and all the tabs were missing...googled it says it is in 'Tools' but there are the 'Tools' and how can I get my drop down menus from 2003 back!

 

Urgh bloomin Microsoft!!!!!!

Excel 2007 has this thing called a Ribbon - there are no menus any more.

This thing:

Personally, I massively prefer the old menu, and I have lobbied with Microsoft for it to come back... I am assured it's there to stay..

U say the tabs are missing.. u mean the worksheet tabs ?

Excel 2007

to do the equivalent of File=>SaveAs... click the OFFICE button in the top left of your Excel..

What is the file extension you're trying to open... is it .XLS ?

I have a worksheet 2003 edition, but my tabs are missing....

well... if you have accidentally change the file extension from a .xls to .txt, then u will have lost the other pages.

Can you at least see one sheet tab ? I wonder if it's something simple like the window not being maximised.. Here's the solution to that:

File Corrupt

This was resolved over a skype conversation...

The file was corrupt, and needed to be repaired.
