I'm new at using Excell. I'm trying to assign a numerical value to a letter in my spreadsheet.Can you walk me thru step by step? Or do you have a Video? Thanks

I"m trying to use the letter

I"m trying to use the letter 'S' in a cell,to represent 8hrs. for that day... so when the sum is totaled,it will give me a numerical total...

S+S=16

S+S+S= 24

How do you make S represent 8 or any other value?

I also need to enter information in certain cells on one sheet in a workbook,automatically transfer to the other sheets? Thank you...

Thanx form the formula..I have it working on the sheet,but I cant get it to apply to certain cells?I'm new at this so it's 'French' to me? I'm trying to figure out how to send you a copy of my schedule that its applying to,and maybe that will help you explain it to me?
